Product features:
A micrometer head, also referred to as a dial micrometer, is a precision measuring instrument based on the screw principle, designed to generate and accurately indicate axial displacement. It consists of a fixed mounting sleeve and barrel, along with movable components including a spindle, thimble, and fine adjustment knob. Rotating the thimble or the fine adjustment knob drives the spindle to move linearly along the axis.
Various configuration options are available: users can select either a flat or spherical contact tip, and may choose models with or without a locking nut and/or a ratchet stop mechanism to suit different measurement needs and application scenarios.
Micrometer heads are widely used across various high-precision industrial and scientific fields, including:
· Production and testing equipment for optical disc reading lenses and writable optical heads;
· Fiber optic positioning systems, optical communication products, and related test equipment;
· Semiconductor manufacturing equipment, inspection, and evaluation systems;
· Prism positioning and assembly in liquid crystal projectors;
· Machine tools, fixtures, special gauges, and other equipment requiring fine adjustments with micron-level precision.
Due to their high accuracy and reliable displacement control, micrometer heads serve as critical components in precision manufacturing and meteorology.
